AI Engineer, Agent Platform

NewsBreak is hiring its first dedicated Agent Platform engineer to own the agent runtime, eval and observability harness, context engineering layer, and integrate new foundation models. The role involves building the platform that powers multiple agentic products including local-news synthesis and paid-growth agents, working closely with product, and shipping weekly.

Candidates must have demonstrable experience shipping an AI product with real users, active familiarity with modern AI dev tools, ability to work end-to-end independently, developed perspective on AI agent design, strong proficiency in Python or Go/Node, sufficient frontend capability in React/Next.js, and product sensibility. Preferred experience with multi-agent systems, eval frameworks, public artifacts, and integrating LLMs with complex real-world data.
