AI Engineer, Agent Platform

We are building the agent platform that powers NewsBreak's next-generation AI products. The role involves owning the agent runtime, designing eval and observability harness, context engineering, integrating new foundation models, building user-facing surfaces, and collaborating with product to ship working v1 in weeks. The team ships weekly and takes eval and observability seriously.

Demonstrable experience shipping an AI product with real users; active familiarity with modern AI development tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.); ability to work end-to-end independently; developed perspective on AI agent design; strong proficiency in Python (or Go/Node) with backend engineering; sufficient frontend capability (React/Next.js); product sensibility. Nice-to-have: multi-agent system production experience, eval frameworks, public artifact, experience with complex real-world data.
