About the role

Modal is building the infrastructure layer for AI workloads, providing instant GPU access and sub-second container starts. We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff - SDK to improve the developer and agent experience of our SDK and CLI, develop new primitives, and work directly with users. Ideal candidates have strong Python/JS/Go skills and a focus on developer ergonomics.

Requirements

5+ years experience in Python, JavaScript, or Go; strong code-as-product sense; understanding of async programming and concurrency; customer empathy; on-call participation; ability to work in New York office. Nice-to-have: developer tools, open-source, agentic workflows, ML/AI tools.
