Backend Engineer

Resend is building the modern email sending platform for developers. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to own features end-to-end, build reliable distributed systems, scale APIs and databases, operate what you build, and work closely with support and customers. This role is fully remote in Americas or European timezones with some travel.

8+ years of software engineering experience, experience with queues, distributed systems, designing systems from scratch, cloud infrastructure, APIs and relational data models, infrastructure as code (Terraform or AWS CDK), working across the stack, clear communication in English, overlap with Americas working hours. Deep experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Postgres, AWS. Experience with developer tools, public APIs, or email infrastructure preferred.
