Staff Software Engineer, Application Delivery

The Developer Platforms mission at The New York Times builds foundational platforms and tooling. The Application Delivery team owns the shared software delivery platform (CI/CD, artifact management) used by hundreds of engineers. 7+ years experience in software delivery (GitHub Actions, Argo CD) and platform work. Experience building platform as a product with multi-tenancy. Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript, or Java. 5+ years with containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, AWS/GCP. Experience with DORA/SPACE metrics and GenAI-assisted tooling (Cursor, Copilot). Cross-team leadership and mentoring skills. Exposure to artifact management.
