Senior Software Engineer, Atlas Clusters Security

MongoDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Atlas Clusters Security organization, specifically the Encryption & Compliance team. The role involves designing and building security features for MongoDB Atlas, including encryption at rest with customer-managed keys across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Responsibilities include leading technical projects, collaborating with product and design teams, and supporting production services through an on-call rotation.

At least 5 years of professional software development experience, skilled in large-scale distributed backend systems in a compiled language (Java, Go, etc.), experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), led launch of a new feature and maintained it in production, excellent communication skills, curious and collaborative. Nice to have: experience with cloud key management, IAM, private networking, or encryption in production SaaS.
