Staff Software Engineer, Essentials (Calgary)

This role focuses on optimizing complex statistical workflows for pay equity analysis that process datasets of hundreds of thousands of records. The engineer will own performance end-to-end, build AI agent tooling to automate workflows, and set standards for testing and observability. Success is measured by handling larger datasets without degradation and increasing agent automation.

Staff-level engineer with 8+ years experience. Deep experience in complex distributed service-based systems. Proven performance and scale work on large-dataset computation. Strong across the stack: Python, Go, TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Redis. Expertise in testing, agentic development, high autonomy, and cross-team collaboration. Leadership in setting standards.
