Senior Security Engineer - Detection and Response

Klaviyo is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join the Detection and Response (D&R) Team. This hands-on technical role involves building and maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable detection and response systems to enhance security observability. Responsibilities include end-to-end detection development, threat response operations, and leveraging security and engineering skills to solve complex challenges and improve Klaviyo's overall security posture.

5+ years of experience in software, security, or data engineering. Automation-first and AI-first approach. Experience with centralized logging, data lakes, and SIEM solutions. Familiarity with large-scale data pipelines and data engineering. Proficient in Python, Go, or similar. Experience with git/GitHub and CI/CD. Knowledge of threat actor TTPs. Experience in detection and response or incident response on-call. Strong communication skills and self-managing work ethic.
