Backend Engineer, Models

Meter is building autonomous networking infrastructure. The Backend Engineer, Models role involves designing and implementing the Models API, building scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality and versioning, and collaborating with modelers to train and evaluate models. The role requires experience with large-scale data infrastructure, schema design, and systems that are simple to use. Tech stack includes Kafka, Postgres, Clickhouse, Python, Go, AWS, Azure.

Experience designing large-scale data infrastructure across batch and streaming modes. Deep thinking about schema design, versioning, and data quality. Making systems simple to use and hard to misuse. Partnering closely with research or modeling teams. Thriving in early-stage environments and building from scratch.
