Backend Engineer, Data Centers

Meter builds networking hardware, software, and operations for data centers. The Backend Engineer designs and builds scalable pipelines for ingesting, transforming, serving petabytes data using Go, Python, Kafka, Postgres, Clickhouse, ensuring backwards compatibility, evolving APIs with schema changes, enabling fine-grained historical, real-time data querying. The engineer collaborates with firmware and frontend teams to scale infrastructure and meet reliability and performance requirements.

Proficiency in Go and Python; experience building scalable data pipelines using Kafka, Postgres, Clickhouse; knowledge of API design, data schema versioning, and backwards compatibility; experience with CI/CD workflows; ability to collaborate cross-functionally with firmware and frontend teams; experience with performance optimization and real-time serving constraints.
