Senior Software Engineer - Messaging

Reddit's Messaging Infra team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on large-scale streaming infrastructure and distributed messaging systems. The role involves contributing to technical strategy, maintaining messaging infrastructure supporting hundreds of millions of users, and owning infrastructure for produce/consume requests. The team handles 50+ million messages/second and 100GB/s network traffic. The engineer will partner with ML/AI/Search teams.

5+ years experience building internet-scale software, preferably with ML storage infrastructure. Proficiency in Golang, Python, C++, Java. Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes; Strimzi is a plus. Hands-on experience with distributed messaging systems. Excellent communication skills. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
