Principal Engineer

Kargo is seeking a Principal Engineer to set multi-year technical direction across Workflow, Self-Service Agentic Ad Buying, and Creative Hub. The role involves owning architectural decisions, establishing LLM-backed and agentic feature development, and up-leveling senior engineers. Requires 12+ years experience, deep distributed systems knowledge, and hands-on LLM/agentic systems experience.

12+ years software engineering including 3+ at Staff/Principal level; deep experience with distributed systems, event streaming, async messaging; strong data modeling; hands-on LLM/agentic systems in production; expert in TypeScript or Golang; demonstrated org-wide technical influence; BS or higher in CS/Engineering/Math; AdTech experience a plus.
