The Messaging Platforms team at Chime builds frameworks, libraries, and operational patterns for messaging, caching, job processing, and workflow orchestration. Solid understanding of async and synchronous data-sharing patterns (pub/sub, RPC, caching). Strong Ruby/Rails experience; Python or Go is a bonus. Familiarity with AWS (ElastiCache, SNS/SQS) and infrastructure tooling (Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, Docker). Experience with large-scale production systems, CI/CD environments, and a track record of shipping production systems as part of a team. Must care about the engineers who use what you build and push back on patterns that cause pain.
