Senior/Staff Software Engineer, AI Agent Infrastructure

Nuro is a physical AI company developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology. This role is for a Senior/Staff Software Engineer on the AI Agent Infrastructure team, which builds the platform for autonomous AI agents to operate inside Nuro's engineering organization. The focus is on closed-loop evaluation, agent platform, and autoresearch infrastructure to amplify engineer output by 100x. The role involves building measurement layers, isolation models, and agent-powered tooling.

5+ years software engineering experience, deep LLM research knowledge (training from scratch, post-training stack), inference understanding (attention, KV-cache, quantization, etc.), production agent systems, strong backend/distributed systems, Python, opinionated about evaluation, end-to-end work, post-training/fine-tuning experience, ML training infrastructure, inference serving, agent architecture patterns, open protocols, developer experience, Go/C++/Rust.
