Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Formlabs is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to develop firmware and software for 3D printers. The role involves building a printer abstraction layer, writing kernel modules, drivers, touch UI, cloud connectivity, and working on both prototype and field-deployed printers. The engineer will use C++, Python, Go, and TypeScript, and leverage MCU simulators and CI for testing. The team values ownership and full-stack embedded development.

Candidates should have experience writing code for hardware products (consumer, medical, defense, or industrial) for 2+ years. Must be able to write filters, control loops, state machines, and RPC from scratch in C, C++, or Python. Strong debugging skills and ability to communicate across disciplines. Bonus: Qt/QML, Yocto, or experience taking a product from prototype to fleet.
