About the role

Vectra is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Fusion engineering team, focusing on building systems that ingest, process, and analyze network cloud telemetry such as flow and DNS logs. This is a high-impact, hands-on technical leadership role designing and scaling distributed systems for real-time detection, influencing architecture and engineering practices across teams.

Requirements

8+ years building distributed systems, strong proficiency in Go and Python, experience with streaming systems (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink), understanding of network telemetry (flow logs, DNS), cloud platforms (AWS preferred), systems design, performance, reliability, and proven technical leadership. Nice-to-have: cybersecurity background, real-time analytics, data warehousing (Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Druid).
