Staff Software Engineer

Extreme Networks seeks a Staff Software Engineer to lead Performance Monitoring for the Enterprise Platform ONE. The role involves designing and scaling a high-throughput data platform for telemetry ingestion and storage, using Kafka, Numaflow, ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, Elasticsearch. Requires 8+ years experience, strong data pipeline skills, and collaboration with engineering teams.

8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience building and scaling data pipelines and/or observability platforms. Strong hands-on experience with Kafka and similar streaming platforms. Deep expertise in ClickHouse, TimescaleDB, or other time-series/columnar databases. Proficiency in multiple programming languages (Go, Java, Python). Solid understanding of container security, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
