Staff Detection Engineer

Asana is seeking a Staff Detection Engineer to join the Threat Response team in Warsaw. The role involves designing and maintaining high-fidelity detections across cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), identity providers (Okta), SaaS environments, endpoints, and software supply chain. The detection-as-code pipeline is owned, including rule structure, testing, and CI/CD. 8+ years in detection engineering, security operations, or threat hunting. Strong Python skills with Git and CI/CD. Deep experience with detection-as-code and SIEM platforms (Panther, Splunk, Elastic Security). Understanding of cloud and identity telemetry (AWS, GCP, Okta). Working knowledge of EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne). Fluency with MITRE ATT&CK. Collaborative mindset. Curiosity about AI tools.
