Engineering Manager, Search Platform (Remote)

Lead the team responsible for how customers discover restaurants across ezCater, including the search engine, indexing pipeline, and availability services. Actively replatforming search, guiding architecture, delivery, and operational maturity. Manage engineers, set technical direction for search stack, own index freshness and correctness, build culture of measurement, and partner with product, data, AI/ML, and platform engineering.

8+ years software engineering experience including team leadership or technical lead in complex backend/platform environments. Engineering management with hiring and retention track record. Deep technical credibility in search/retrieval systems (Vespa, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Solr) through major re-architecture. Strong backend depth in distributed, event-driven systems; Go preferred.
