Staff Software Engineer, Kubernetes Cloud

Build a new way to orchestrate Zero Trust Segmentation at the application/pod level in container ecosystems. Enhance modern container platforms like Kubernetes, Istio, OpenShift, AKS, EKS, GKE. Own and design critical features, deliver rock-solid implementation, mentor junior engineers, and work with field organization and customers. This role is part of Illumio's Engineering team, shaping the future of cybersecurity.

Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent (Master's a plus). 8+ years building distributed and scalable software systems. Proficient in Go, Python, Java, or similar. Experience with Kubernetes and related technologies. Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, networking concepts, and debugging. Unix/Linux programming environment. Familiarity with networking and security controls is a plus.
