Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure Compute

Roblox is building the data platform compute layer, owning Kubernetes clusters for Spark workloads. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build and operate systems for Spark job submission, interactive notebook compute, cluster lifecycle automation, and batch scheduling. You will shape technology adoption, define SLOs, and partner across teams.

5+ years building production-grade distributed systems. Hands-on Spark on Kubernetes (EKS) as a platform, including resource tuning and troubleshooting. Strong Kubernetes operations at scale. Proficiency in Go, Java, Scala, or Clojure. AWS experience (EKS, EC2, IAM, S3). Operational ownership from design to production. Technical leadership. B.S. in Computer Science.
