About the role

Tide is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Core Infrastructure team, which provides a containerized cloud environment based on EKS. The role involves leading engineers, planning roadmap, ensuring availability and security, empowering product engineers, controlling costs, collaborating, balancing priorities, and measuring team productivity. The team manages infrastructure, databases, and Kubernetes clusters.

Requirements

10+ years in distributed computing, 3+ years in engineering leadership, degree in Computer Science or related field, detailed knowledge of AWS or GCP in regulated environment, experience running Kubernetes in production with GitOps (ArgoCD), understanding of AI tools, excellent communication, stakeholder management. Preferred: platform engineering experience abstracting Kubernetes, experience with Kubernetes operators.
