Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack - D&I Solutions

Planet's Global Monitoring Service App Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work across the full stack of a customized application for Defense & Intelligence customers, leveraging satellite data for daily monitoring and analytics. The role involves designing features across frontend and backend, using React, TypeScript, and Python, mentoring engineers, and driving architectural decisions.

10+ years of relevant work experience, Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, proficiency in React, TypeScript, and component-based frontend architecture, server-side language like Python or Go, experience designing REST APIs, relational databases, and leading feature implementation from discovery to production. Must have mentoring ability and English proficiency. Preferred: experience with mapping libraries, geospatial data, Kubernetes, CI/CD, defense sector.
