Senior Software Engineer, Connectivity & API Transformation

Pantheon is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Connectivity & API Transformation team. The role involves building and evolving a federated GraphQL API (Grafbase, Federation v2), shaping service connectivity and network architecture, decomposing a legacy Python monolith, designing workflow orchestration with GCP Workflows and Pub/Sub, setting API standards, owning production systems with SLOs, participating in on-call, and mentoring engineers.

Significant experience in Go, API design (GraphQL, gRPC, REST), distributed systems, cloud networking (VPC, DNS, load balancing), Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, GCP, observability (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry), on-call, and clear communication. Nice-to-haves include GraphQL Federation, Rust, Cassandra, service mesh, GCP Workflows, AlloyDB, MySQL, Redis, Docker, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Vault, WordPress, Drupal.
