About the role
HeyGen's Video Agent is a multi-step AI agent that turns prompts/documents/assets into finished videos. The role involves building the agent, measuring quality, shipping across stack (TypeScript/React/Python/Go), and working with researchers. The agent plans storyboards, writes scripts, selects avatars/voices/visuals. The engineer will redesign tools, build evals, run A/B tests, and ship features end-to-end.
Requirements
Requires building and shipping a real AI agent with tool calling and multi-step planning, ability to evaluate AI systems, strong full-stack engineering (2+ years, TypeScript, React, Python), product sense, and ownership. A CS degree or equivalent experience accepted. Preferred: fine-tuned models, code-to-video, video agent experience.
