Senior Backend Engineer (Golang)

Join SumUp's Global Bank tribe to build infrastructure and core services for a digital bank tailored to small merchants. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll help transition from localized setup to a unified global bank with event-driven architecture. Collaborate with a global team, own production systems, and shape technical direction. Tech stack includes Go, AWS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes.

Solid programming experience in Golang, advanced understanding of distributed and event-driven systems, experience with Kafka, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or ArgoCD. Plus: monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Honeycomb) and fintech experience.
