Shakepay is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to shape and evolve the internal developer platform. The role involves designing foundational systems, improving engineering velocity, building AI-powered tooling, and leading technical initiatives across teams. The company is on a mission to usher in the Bitcoin golden age, serving over one million Canadians.

Requirements

8+ years in software/platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps. Strong programming (Go, Python, JS). Experience with large-scale distributed systems, infrastructure-as-code, internal developer platforms, and AI/LLM tooling. Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives. Bonus: Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ArgoCD, Helm, Datadog, fintech experience.
