About the role
UJET is seeking a Data Engineer to own the data platform end-to-end, including CDC replication from MySQL to BigQuery, dbt transformations, Terraform infrastructure, and Looker reporting. The role involves building data models, improving reliability, and enabling self-serve analytics for thousands of customer tenants. The stack includes BigQuery, dbt, GCP, Python, SQL, and Kubernetes.
Requirements
5+ years of software engineering with deep data platform experience. Strong Python and SQL skills. Hands-on experience with BigQuery and dbt. Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), cloud platform (GCP preferred), and software engineering fundamentals (testing, version control, code reviews). Preferred: GCP services, CDC, Kubernetes, Looker, Ruby on Rails or Go.
