Expert Online Services Software Engineer

Small Axe, a new studio at 2K, is seeking an Expert Online Services Software Engineer to architect and build the scalable multiplayer backbone for a AAA sports title. The role involves leading technical direction, developing backend services in Go, integrating with Unreal Engine, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The position is based in Vancouver, BC.

7+ years building backend services for games, expert proficiency in Go, experience shipping live services for millions of players, deep expertise in distributed systems and networking, production experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL, strong observability and CI/CD skills, excellent communication, and a Bachelor's in CS or equivalent.
