Engineering Manager, Backend

Fubo is seeking an Engineering Manager, Backend to lead a team of backend engineers building product features and maintaining a reliable platform. This hybrid role based in New York City involves hands-on coding, system design, code review, and mentorship. The team owns backend services in a microservices architecture, and the manager will partner with engineering, product, and design teams. Fubo is investing in AI to optimize development processes.

Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years leading medium to large engineering teams. Proven experience building large-scale distributed systems with SOA or microservices architecture, preferably with Golang. Experience with caching, circuit-breaking, distributed traces, load testing, CI/CD, test automation, relational databases, and monitoring/observability tools. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
