Principal Software Engineer | Data Science

ExtraHop seeks a Principal Software Engineer to drive architecture and execution of complex engineering initiatives on its Network Detection and Response (NDR) platform. The role involves designing AI/ML models for network traffic analysis, developing autonomous AI agent architectures, collaborating with data scientists and threat researchers, and mentoring engineers. The engineer will lead cross-functional initiatives and contribute to product strategy.

Master's degree in CS or related field, 8+ years software engineering experience with at least 2 in Principal/Lead/Staff capacity, expert-level Python and Go, experience in machine learning and cybersecurity, including anomaly detection, threat classification, and production AI/ML systems. Preferred: network telemetry, cloud services (AWS/Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
