Lead Engineer, Full Stack (US)

Code and Theory is seeking a senior full-stack lead engineer to build The Machine, an agentic operating system for marketing. The role involves setting technical direction, building performant applications across web and AI-enabled systems, leading cross-functional alignment, mentoring engineers, and defining standards for scalability and maintainability.

Requires self-direction, bias toward action, experience with backend (Python, Node.js, Go), infrastructure as code (GCP/AWS/Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes), SQL/NoSQL databases, event-driven systems (SQS, SNS, Kafka), frontend (React, Tailwind), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI), AI-native development tools, and agentic frameworks. Nice-to-have: agency or enterprise SaaS experience.
