Staff Software Engineer - Compute

Lambda seeks a Staff Software Engineer for the Compute pillar to define technical vision for next-generation GPU and CPU host instance lifecycle and compute control plane. The role bridges distributed systems and semiconductor architecture, requiring deep understanding of BIOS/firmware, Linux kernel, DPU capabilities, and large-scale CSP operations. Responsibilities include designing highly available control plane, guiding technical decisions, and providing leadership.

10+ years experience in compute control plane distributed systems, deep expertise in durable execution models, basic knowledge of software-defined networking, proven track record in semiconductor hardware enablement and data-center deployment, proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Python, Go. Nice to have: knowledge of Nvidia AI Factory components, Linux kernel internals, virtualization, high-performance networking.
