Senior Machine Learning Manager, Borrowing

Monzo is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Manager to lead the ML team in the Borrowing division, shaping the ML roadmap for underwriting, pricing, and credit decisioning across UK growth, new customer segments, and EU expansion. This role combines near-term commercial impact with long-term strategic advantage, working closely with Product, Credit Strategy, Engineering, and Model Validation teams.

Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistics, and decisioning systems; deep experience in credit risk and lending; experience building and deploying credit models in production; experience leading and developing senior ML scientists; strong cross-functional leadership; experience across more than one market and with advanced ML methods on structured financial data (nice to have).
