About the role

The App Core team is looking for a curious, growth-minded Software Engineer II to work on the core infrastructure of Smartsheet, focusing on the reliability, stability, and scale of our foundational systems. The role involves mob programming, collective code ownership, and using TDD. You will work with AWS, Golang, MySQL, Terraform, and participate in on-call rotations. Ideal for developers with backend basics who want to learn IaC.

Requirements

Proficiency in modern backend language (Go, Java, or Python preferred). Strong desire to learn Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and database reliability (MySQL). Comfortable with mob programming and TDD. Excellent communication skills. BS/MS in CS or equivalent. Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
