About the role
We are seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the architecture and evolution of the core systems that power Juniper Square — the distributed services, cloud infrastructure, and developer platform. This role anchors a strategic priority for the GPX line of business: taking Juniper Square upmarket to serve the largest private equity institutions. The role is deeply hands-on, involving system design, prototyping, code writing, and mentoring.
Requirements
15+ years in distributed systems, platform engineering, or infrastructure; advanced degree; expertise in cloud-native stacks (Kubernetes, containers, service mesh); proficiency in Python, Go, or Java; infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi); event-driven architectures (Kafka); developer platforms; observability and SRE; cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP); strong communication and leadership.
