Staff Software Engineer I, Platform Engineering

Staff Software Engineer I role in Platform Engineering group, setting technical vision for cloud infrastructure, leading automation, AI integration, and cross-team execution. Partners with engineering leaders to define strategy for GCP, Kubernetes, CI/CD, security, and FinOps. Drives operational excellence through SLOs, on-call rotations, and embedding security. Productizes platform tooling into self-service.

Deep mastery of Google Cloud Platform; expert-level Kubernetes; experience with data systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka); strong coding in Python, Go, Java, TypeScript; IaC with Terraform and GitOps with ArgoCD; proficiency with AI-assisted development tools; experience with OpenTelemetry-based monitoring; cross-domain expertise in cloud security, cost optimization, and performance; track record of driving cross-team initiatives.
