Software Engineer, Developer Experience

Replit is seeking a Software Engineer for Developer Experience to accelerate engineering velocity and reduce friction in the development experience. The role involves maintaining a complex TypeScript monorepo, Go services, and internal tooling; owning build and test pipelines; driving code generation and type-safe interfaces; setting code quality standards; streamlining onboarding; and partnering with the AI team to improve the internal AI platform. This is an early hire with high agency.

Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Go and/or Nix. Expertise in modern build systems (Vite, webpack, esbuild, Go's build/module system). Proficiency with linters, formatters, testing frameworks, and code generation tools. Experience managing monorepos or large-scale codebases. Preferred: experience building self-service developer platforms, AI-native development workflows, open-source leadership.
