Principal Engineer

Solaris is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design of complex distributed micro-services and platforms, focusing on scalability, resilience, and maintainability. The role involves driving high-level technology decisions, ensuring alignment across teams, and taking accountability for reliability, security, and performance. The candidate will also contribute to infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, and mentor team members.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, 10+ years of software engineering experience, and 3+ years in a technical leadership role (Staff, Principal, Lead Architect). Expertise in designing high-traffic distributed systems, multiple modern programming languages (Java, Go), container ecosystem, and 'Everything as Code' philosophy is required. Excellent English communication and ability to influence without authority.
