About the role
As a Software Engineer on Socure's Document Verification team, you will build and enhance core server-side components for large-scale identity verification. You'll develop microservices and APIs for document capture, processing, and verification, integrating with ML models to ensure ID authenticity and detect fraud. You'll collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Infrastructure teams, own backend architecture, optimize performance, and champion best practices in coding and security.
Requirements
3+ years building modern backend services or distributed systems at scale. Strong proficiency in Golang and frameworks for APIs and microservices. Experience with gRPC and RESTful APIs. Proven experience designing scalable, high-availability microservices in cloud environments. Solid understanding of backend performance optimization and security best practices, especially handling PII. Track record of cross-functional collaboration.
