Senior Systems Engineer

Blacksmith is building infrastructure to run CI workloads fast, operating bare-metal machines globally. They are extending into a broader platform for agent sandboxes and background coding agents. The Senior Systems Engineer will work on scaling distributed systems, performance, and reliability.

5+ years software development experience in performance-critical or distributed environments. Proficiency in C, C++, Go, Rust, or Zig. Familiarity with distributed storage systems like Ceph or MinIO. Comfortable with build automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef. Willing to work in person 5 days a week in NYC.
