About the role
Middesk is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer problems. The role involves building and deploying production-grade integrations and AI-driven systems, owning complex technical problems end-to-end, and shaping the product based on customer learnings. Ideal for recovering founders or engineers who miss direct customer impact.
Requirements
3+ years of experience building and shipping production software with strong proficiency in Python or Ruby and at least one other language (TypeScript, Go, etc.). Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure. Strong debugging skills, ability to own ambiguous problems, and comfort collaborating with customers. Experience with LLM-powered applications is preferred.
