About the role

DS is seeking an Engineering Manager (Platform) to lead platform engineering, building shared services, data paths, and tooling that directly shape customer experience. This is a staff-director level role for a full-stack systems-aware leader who will stay hands-on, make decisive technical calls, and coach a small team. The company handles radio data from sensors to customer-facing web and Android experiences.

Requirements

Strong full-stack engineering with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Linux. Deep understanding of OS, memory, networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, pub/sub, queues). Experience with backend service architecture (APIs, microservices, data pipelines) and build systems/CI/CD. Ability to lead through ambiguity, synthesize customer feedback into technical plans, and grow engineers. Must be ITAR eligible (US citizen/permanent resident).
