Staff Engineer, Backend

TollBit is building the key infrastructure for AI-powered interfaces, ensuring intelligent agents pay for content they consume. We are a fast-paced, innovative team backed by top VCs, seeking a backend engineer who can occasionally flex to frontend with 6+ years of experience. You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Go, own the full development lifecycle, implement best practices for code quality and security, interact directly with customers, and participate in tech.

Required: proven track record building high-quality products, proficiency in Go or other server-side languages, familiarity with React, experience with distributed systems and scaling architectures, strong understanding of databases, familiarity with Git, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, located and eligible to work in the US. Preferred: AWS, CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration tests, startup experience. Bonus: open source contributions, side projects.
