Staff Software Engineer, Security

Saildrone is a maritime defense company and global leader in autonomous unmanned surface vehicles (USVs). The Security team protects Saildrone’s fleet, systems, and customer data across global maritime operations. Responsibilities include designing and operating automated security systems for drones and shore-side infrastructure, reviewing designs and code for security defects, responding to security incidents on a rotating on-call schedule, assisting with compliance audits (NIST 800-171, ISO 27

8+ years of progressive applicable experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer-related engineering (CS, CE) or equivalent; advanced degree preferred. Proficiency in at least two languages from {Python, C/C++, TypeScript, Go} plus one other. Familiarity with infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
